Chinampas is an album by avant-garde jazz pianist Cecil Taylor in which he reads his poetry over the sound of small percussion. The title is an Aztec word that means "floating garden". Taylor's poems are about how he composes music. He composed the album, produced it, and played the instruments (piano, bells, tympani, percussion).[1]
