Cherie Mercado-Santos (born October 29, 1974) is a Filipina broadcast journalist in TV5.[3][4] Mercado anchors TV5's noontime newscast Aksyon Sa Tanghali with Raffy Tulfo.[5][6] She has also worked with ABS-CBN.[1]
On July 15, 2016, Mercado left TV5, her home network for 12 years to become the spokesperson of the Department of Transportation (DOTR).[7] Santos, later resigned in May 2017 due to her motherhood.[8]
Cherie is married to Mike Santos, a stockbroker, and they have two children, Christiana and Anabella.[1]
