Cheng Li-chun (Chinese: 鄭麗君; pinyin: Zhèng Lìjūn) is a politician of the Republic of China (ROC). She has been the Minister of Culture since 20 May 2016.[1][2][3]

Early life

Cheng obtained her bachelor's degree in philosophy from National Taiwan University in 1992 and master's degree in philosophy, politics, economics and sociology from Paris West University Nanterre La Défense in France.

Ministry of Culture

In April 2017, Cheng proposed a plan by the ministry to the Education and Culture Committee of Legislative Yuan for the infrastructure development program on historical sites in Taiwan with the amount of NT$5.66 billion for maintaining and reinventing historic sites and NT$15.8 billion for digital infrastructure construction, in which if it were to be approved, the project will be carried out from this year until 2021.[4]
