Geoffrey Follows
Sir Charles Geoffrey Shield Follows (4 July 1896 – 1983) was a British colonial administrator. He was the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong from 1946 to 1951.
Follows was a Lieutenant in The King's (Liverpool Regiment) in the First World War. He joined the colonial service after the war.[1] He was appointed to Seychelles from 1920 to 1925, Gibraltar from 1925 to 1927, Northern Rhodesia as the Chief Secretary from 1935 to 1945. He was appointed acting Financial Secretary of Hong Kong in September 1945 and Financial Secretary on 1 May 1946. He was responsible for the financial difficulties in post-war Hong Kong. He left Hong Kong on pre-retirement leave in May 1951.[2]
