Early life and education

Chandramauli Kumar Prasad was born on 15 July 1949 at Patna in the State of Bihar. He had passed Secondary School Examination from Patna High School. Prasad graduated in Science from Magadh University and graduated in Law from Patna University.

Controversies and Allegations

Justice Prasad created nationwide controversy in judicial circles, when as part of a Supreme Court bench, he dragged to itself and decided within two minutes, on an oral plea, a 12-year-long battle in favour of the winning bidder, for 88 acres of public land allotted at a throwaway price of Rs 33 crore, the market value of which is around Rs. 2500 crore. This 35-hectare Cidco prime land allotment case, which was listed before a three-judge SC bench, caused a senior lawyer to question the bench's judicial propriety.[2][3][4]
