Chaminé is a village in the southeastern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its 2010 population was 79. It is located over 1 km east of São Domingos (5-6 km by road). It is part of the municipality of São Domingos. It is the seat of parish of São Nicolau Tolentino. Other nearby settlement is Mendes Faleiro Cabral to the west.
About the village
Chaminé is connected by a small dirt road 2 km from the road connecting with Mendes Faleiro Cabral. Less than a kilometer away is the source of Ribeira de São Domingos, east is Minho Branco outside the village.
Singer Codé di Dona is native to Chaminé, he spent the first few years of his life in the village.
