Chain Singh (born 5 April 1989) is an Indian sport shooter. He won the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games at Incheon in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions event.[2] He also won six gold medals, three in individual events and three in team events, in 2016 South Asian Games held at Guwahati and Shillong in India.[3]

Career

Chain Singh had never heard of shooting until he entered adulthood when joined the Indian Army in 2007.

2014 Asian Games

Chain Singh is a bronze medalist in the 2014 Asian Games held at Incheon in South Korea.He won a bronze medal in the men's 50m rifle three positions event. He shot a total of 441.7 points to finish behind two Chinese shooters -Cao Yifei and Zhu Qinan- who bagged first and second positions with 455.5 and 455.2 points respectively.[4]

2016 South Asian games

Chain Singh bagged six gold medals in the 12th South Asian Games held at Guwahati in India in 2016. He won all the events he participated, both at team level as well as in individual performances. He has also secured his spot for the Rio Olympics.[5]
