Chaetodon zanzibarensis is a species of marine angelfish with a wide range throughout the western Indian Ocean, including the waters of the Chagos Archipelago, Comoros, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte. Mozambique, Réunion, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Yemen.[1] It prefers lagoons and outer reef slopes at depths of 1–40 metres (3.3–131.2 ft) where it feeds solely on corals, particularly Acropora species.[1]
