Central High School is a high school in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut in the United States. It was founded in 1876 as Bridgeport High School.[3]
In 2003 the school held 2,217 students and 152 teachers.[5] Ethnically the students were 46% African-American, 32% Hispanic, 17% white and 4% Asian, with 1% marked as unknown.[5]
The current school building was constructed in 1963–4,[3] and was dedicated on October 25, 1964.[5] The school is under renovation scheduled to be complete in 2017. It costs roughly 70 million dollars.

For the academic school year 2009–2010, the principal of Central High School was Mr. Alejandro Ortiz. From 2010–2011, the principal was Anne Engelson, from 2011–2012, the principal was Dr. Aresta Johnson, from 2012–2013 the principal was Stephan Anderson and as of now, the principal is Eric Graf.
