Catherine Rampell

Catherine Rampell is an American journalist and nationally syndicated, opinion columnist.

Early life and education

Rampell grew up in South Florida, and attended Princeton University as a legacy student, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 2007.[1][2][3]

Career

Rampell was an economics journalist, theater critic, and blogger for The New York Times before becoming an opinion columnist for The Washington Post. She is a member of The Washington Post Writers Group[4] [5] and previously worked for The Chronicle of Higher Education.[6] She has been a guest political commentator on CNN, NPR and other news networks.[7]

Rampell received the Heim Alumni Leadership Award from Duke University in 2016[4] and the Weidenbaum Center Award for Evidence-Based Journalism.[7]
