Catherine Malandrino is a French fashion designer. She was born in Grenoble, France and now splits her time between New York City and Paris.
Profile
Born from Italian parents in the French Alps, Catherine Malandrino, after graduating from Esmod she worked in the Paris couture houses of Dorothée Bis, Louis Féraud, Emanuel Ungaro in the 1990s was the creative force at the French label "Et Vous" in Paris, and then she moved to NYC to design Diane von Furstenberg collection.[1] In 1998, she founded her namesake label in New York.[2]
In 2013 Catherine Malandrino sold her company to explore new facets of fashion and style.
In 2017 she published a book, Une Femme Français: The Seductive Style of French Women (St. Martin's Press).
Catherine Malandrino brand
Catherine Malandrino brand became a licensing company operated by Bluestar Alliance. Since 2013, Catherine Malandrino has no more involvement in the creative process of the brand.
Operations and Ownership of brand
In August 2013, "Bluestar Alliance, LLC and Tahari ASL bought the Catherine Malandrino brand" "from Tahari ASL LLC forming a joint venture led by Bluestar Alliance.
