"Carmen '77" (カルメン'77 Karumen '77) is Pink Lady's third single release in Japan. The song was written by Yū Aku and Shunichi Tokura, and was released on March 10, 1977. The single sold in excess of 1,100,000 copies, and reached the number-one position on the Oricon charts in April 1977, and maintained its place at number one for five weeks.[1]
According to Oricon it was the 7th best selling single from 1977.[2]
A re-recorded version of the song was included on the 2-disc greatest hits release, Innovation, released in December 2010.
