Not to be confused with his fierce rivals Real Madrid's Campo de O'Donnell, which had same name and it was situated 200 meters away on the same bulevard.[2][3]
Atletico Madrid moved from Tiro del Pichón in 1913 on the same street with the Real Madrid stadium, on the main bulevard called Calle de O'Donnell. [4] [2]
The inaugural match was on the February 9, 1913 with the parent club Athletic Bilbao who won with a 4-0 victory for the Basque.
