Camp Brookwoods

Camp Brookwoods is a Christian summer camp for young people aged 8–16 located in Alton, New Hampshire, off New Hampshire Route 28 about 2 hours north of Boston. Started in 1944,[1] Camp Brookwoods is a Christian camp on Lake Winnipesaukee with a natural sandy beach on Chestnut Cove. While Brookwoods is an overarching term that refers to the boys and girls at camp as a whole, "Brookwoods" more commonly refers to the boys while "Deer Run" is the girls camp on the same property. The camp, which offers both two and four week programs, employs 105 people, equally split between men and women.[2][3]

Camp Brookwoods, for boys, is joined by Camp Deer Run for girls, which adjoins it, and the two share many of the same facilities. The Brookwoods mascot is the eagle and the Deer Run mascot is the doe.

Camp Brookwoods and Camp Deer Run are all part of a non-profit organization called Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc. Christian Camps and Conferences also operates Moose River Outpost, a summer camp in Jackman, Maine.

Mission of the Camp

"Brookwoods, Deer Run and Moose River Outpost seek to foster vibrant Christian communities located in awe-inspiring outdoor settings in which young people are spiritually transformed through Christ centered relationships."[4]
