Evans joined Manchester United as a 14 year old and progressed through the club's youth system, making it into their under 21 side. He left the club when he was released in June 2015.

He moved to Barnsley on a one-year deal in the summer of 2015 to link up with their under 21s squad.[1] At the end of his first season at Barnsley he agreed to a new one-year contract for the 2016-17 season.[2]

On 28 January 2017, he made his first team debut in a 1-0 Championship away win over Rotherham United as a 60th minute substitute.[3] His first full appearance followed three days later, on 31 January 2017, when he started in a 3-1 home loss against Wolves.[4] In February 2017, he signed for National League outfit Macclesfield Town on loan.[5] His Macclesfield debut followed on 18 February 2017, as he helped his new side to a 2-0 home win against Braintree Town.[6] In May 2017, he was released by Barnsley at the end of his contract.[7]

On 22 May 2017, Evans signed for newly promoted League Two side Forest Green Rovers on a one-year contract.[8]
