Cachoeira do Sul is a municipality of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
It is located at a latitude of 30º02'21" S and a longitude of 52º53'38" W, at an approximate elevation of 68 meters above sea level. Its population in 2004 was approximately 89120 and its area is 3715.5 square kilometers.
Climate
Cachoeira do Sul has a humid subtropical climate and its annual average temperature is 18.9 °C (66.0 °F). In January, the warmest month, highs frequently surpass 30 °C (86 °F) with the average low dropping to 19 °C (66 °F).
