The CS 40 is a Canadian sailboat, that was designed by Tony Castro and first built in 1987. The design is out of production.[1][2][3]

Design
The CS 40 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass. It has a masthead sloop rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder, a fixed fin keel and displaces 17,000 lb (7,711 kg).[1][2]
The boat is fitted with a Volvo Penta diesel engine of 43 hp (32 kW). The fuel tank holds 50 U.S. gallons (190 L; 42 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 100 U.S. gallons (380 L; 83 imp gal).[1]
The boat has a hull speed of 7.66 kn (14.19 km/h).[2]
