Charles Morse Hazen[1] was the third head college football coach for the University of Richmond Spiders located in Richmond, Virginia and he held that position for four seasons, from 1882 until 1888. His career coaching record at Richmond was 4 wins, 4 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 15th at Richmond in total wins and ninth at Richmond in winning percentage.[2] He was described in an 1889 publication as "virtually the father of physical culture at Richmond College.".[3]

He died at a nursing home in 1952.[4]
