Burkholderia denitrificans is a gram-negative, bacterium from the genus of Burkholderia and the family of Burkholderiaceae which was isolated from wet forest soil on the island of Liancourt Rocks.[3][4] Burkholderia denitrificans has the ability to reduced nitrate to nitrogen gas.[5]
