Buddleja 'Podaras4', selling name Flutterby Grande Blueberry Cobbler, is a sterile hybrid cultivars raised by Peter Podaras whilst at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, and patented in 2011. Flutterby Grande Blueberry Cobbler is the result of a complex crossing of B. × weyeriana 'Honeycomb' × B. marrubiifolia × (B. davidii × B. crispa).

Description

Flutterby Grande Blueberry Cobbler has an upright and outwardly spreading habit, growing to 1.8 × 1.8 m, with terminal panicles of light violet-blue flowers with yellow centres.

Cultivation

Flutterby Grande Blueberry Cobbler is not known (2013) to be in cultivation beyond the USA. The shrub is reputedly hardy to - 29° C..

References

Released in 2011, the cultivar has yet to appear in literature. The only reference (2012) is the US patent application given.
