[5] In 2013 the company acquired the British company Hosted IP Communications (Europe) Ltd. Background
The company was founded by Michael Tessler and Scott D. Hoffpauir in 1998.[7] The products and services of the company play a critical part in the network by serving as the software which delivers and coordinates call control and information transmission over service providers’ IP-based network.[8] Its products include BroadWorks and BroadCloud. The company’s flagship product, BroadWorks, is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications platform that enables service providers to deliver basic and enhanced voice services for business and residential end users. - See more at: http://www.broadsoft.com/service-providers/products-applications/broadworks/#sthash.BkrN9LWt.dpuf. Awards
In 2013, the company received Frost & Sullivan 2013 New Product Innovation Leadership Award for its hosted unified communication platform product.[11] In the same year, thanks to its unified communication platform, UC-one, it won the People's Choice Stevie Award in the 11th American Business Award Competition.
