Geography

The village is located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) south of Turin and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) southeast of Cuneo, on the border with France. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 56 and an area of 51.7 square kilometres (20.0 sq mi).[1]

Briga Alta borders the following municipalities: Chiusa di Pesio, Cosio di Arroscia, La Brigue (France), Limone Piemonte, Mendatica, Ormea, Roccaforte Mondovì, Tende (France), and Triora.
