The team's history can be traced back to 1964, but its current incarnation started in 2008. For the 2012 season the team made a major change, adding several non-Japanese riders and running half their races outside Japan.[1] For 2013, they signed Damien Monier, a French stage winner at the Giro d'Italia.[2]
