Brian Gunn is an American actor, producer, and writer from St. Louis, Missouri.

Early life and background

Gunn has four brothers — filmmaker James,[1] actor Sean,[2] actor and political writer Matt,[2] and former Senior Vice President with Artisan Entertainment Patrick[3] — and a sister, Beth.[4] Their parents are Leota[5] and James F. Gunn, who is a partner and corporate attorney with the law firm Thompson Coburn in St. Louis.[6] Gunn and his brothers all attended Saint Louis University High School, where he graduated in 1988.[2] Gunn's surname is derived from the Irish name MacGilGunn, meaning "sons to the servants of the god of the dead".[7]

Career

As a writer, producer, and actor, Gunn is best known for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012), Bring It On Again (2004), and 2gether (2000).
