Brendan Uegama is a Cinematographer,[1] working between Vancouver and Los Angeles. He is best known for his work on Van Helsing (2016), The Romeo Section (2015) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.[2] Brendan is also the cofounder of "Black Tree Pictures", a production company he runs with his partner Nicole G. Leier.[3]
Brendan Uegama is known for being able to create a glossy style with an edge, and never compromises that style to just ‘get it done’. Uegama is currently making the most compelling stuff in Vancouver and his reputation continues to grow. "Henry's Glasses", the short film Brendan directed and wrote in 2010 is still receiving praise, screening during the "Films of Remembrance" event in San Francisco in February 2017.[4] Henry's Glasses was nominated for numerous awards and entered several festivals and won Best Canadian Short Film from the National Film Board of Canada in 2011.[5]
