Brazil–Malaysia relations are foreign relations between Brazil and Malaysia. Brazil has an embassy in Kuala Lumpur,[1] and Malaysia has an embassy in Brasilia.[2]

Economic relations

Both countries are working closely in the economic sector with many Brazilian brands and companies eyeing the Malaysian market.[3][4] As of 2012, Brazilian companies had invested a total of U$6 billion in Malaysia.[5][6][7] Brazil mining company Vale also has started the construction of an iron ore transfer centre in Malaysia.[8] Brazil is also one of the biggest arms sellers and one of the exporters of sugar and beef to Malaysia.[9][10][11] While in Brazil, Malaysian oil company Petronas has signed a deal with OGX.[12] Both countries are also in the process of joint ventures to develop biofuel and Malaysia is currently seeking to help Brazil in broadband plan expanding.[13][14]
