Brandon Creek
- Brandon Creek is also a hamlet near Littleport, Cambridgeshire
Brandon Creek (Irish: Cuas an Bhodaigh) is a village located at the Dingle Peninsula in the most westerly point of the island of Ireland.
According to the 9th century document "Voyage of St Brendan the Navigator", Saint Brandon set sail westward from this point in the 6th Century, and traveled into the Atlantic.[1][2][3]
Adventurer Tim Severin took a five-man crew across the atlantic to prove the legendary voyage of St Brendan was possible in the Sixth century. The journey departed May 1976 from Brandon Creek.[4]
