Michael Tucker, known professionally as BloodPop (formerly Blood Diamonds),[3] is an American musician, record producer and songwriter.

Early life

Michael Tucker was born in Kansas City, Kansas, United States.[4][5] Tucker studied jazz guitar in middle school, went to Kansas City Art Institute, and deejayed art school parties in 2007. Cody Critcheloe mentored him in Tucker's parents' basement for a month straight, where he learned how to produce and write music.[6] While using the free one-week trial version of Ableton, Tucker studied video editing in Vancouver for three years,[7] made Soundcloud instrumentals under Blood Diamonds, and signed with Transparent Records[8][9] and OWSLA. He then relocated to Los Angeles.
