Block Line[1] will be a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It will be located alongside Courtland Avenue in Kitchener, just north of Block Line Road. It is scheduled to open in 2018.
St. Mary's High School is located about 500m southwest of the station, and the recreational facilities of the Peter Hallman Ball Yard and the Activa Sportsplex are also nearby. A mixed-use development, titled Virerra Village, is planned to be constructed adjacent to the station.
