Black and White (Italian: Bianco e nero) is a 2008 Italian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Cristina Comencini. The film deals with race and inter-racial relationships when the married Carlo (Fabio Volo) falls in love with Nadine, the wife of his own wife's colleague.
Plot
Carlo is a computer technician who has no interest in his wife's business avenues. However, during a conference that welcomes African people, he meets Nadine, a beautiful Senegalese woman, whose husband works for his wife. Slowly the pair fall in love with each other and eventually one day when Carlo calls over to help fix Nadine's computer, they begin to have sex in the living room, leading to an affair between them. The affair is found out by their respective spouses who subsequently kick them out of their houses. Despite continuing their affair, Carlo and Nadine don't want to leave their families.
Cast
- Fabio Volo as Carlo, a young Italian computer technician who falls in love with Nadine after meeting her at a conference. They begin dating after their spouses kick them out of their houses for having sex at Nadine's house.
- Ambra Angiolini as Elena, Carlo's wife who works as a cultural meditator. She works for Nadine's husband Bertrand and both get furious with their spouses when the affair is discovered.
- Aïssa Maïga as Nadine, a beautiful Senegalese born woman who is married to Bertrand and falls in love with Carlo after they meet and have sex.
- Eriq Ebouaney as Bertrand, Nadine's husband who works with Elena. Like Elena he is furious when Nadine cheats on him with Carlo.
