The black-tailed crake (Amaurornis bicolor) is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
