Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri (BIT Sindri) is a government engineering college in Sindri, Jharkhand, India.

History

BIT Sindri was established in 1949 as the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1949 at Patna, but shifted to Sindri a year later.^[1]

The institute is affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University. All courses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education.^[1]

The institute campus is 400 acres (1.6 km²) of land, located near the eastern bank of Damodar River.^[1]
