Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri (BIT Sindri) is a government engineering college in Sindri, Jharkhand, India.
History
BIT Sindri was established in 1949 as the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1949 at Patna, but shifted to Sindri a year later.[1]
Academics
The institute is affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University. All courses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education.[1]
Campus
The institute campus is 400 acres (1.6 km2) of land, located near the eastern bank of Damodar River.[1]
