Bidya Sundar Skakya is a Nepali politician and current Mayor of Kathmandu.[1] Shakya previously served as Chairman of Ward No. 21 for two terms.[2] Shakya is the current secretary of CPN-UML's Kathmandu District committee. He was criticized heavily for getting a car bought for him immediately after getting elcetced as the mayor of Kathmandu. The cost of the Toyota car was over 10 million rupees.
