Lankara Devata temple

Bhalara is a village in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located in the Rohru block of the Shimla district, and is situated 15 km from the Rohru town. It[1]

Bhalara is famous for its high quality apples. The temple Of Lankara Vir (Bann) deity is situated on the top of the hill above this village.Now Bhalara has become a gram panchyat with total number of ten villages which were formelly a part of Kui panchayt.Bhalara panchyat also is the home of local deity Shri Bondra Sahib Maharaj who is followed and worshiped by thousands of people across Mandalgarh valley and also have a privilege to host a spiritual fest'Bhoonda' which comes after fifty to seventy years. On this occasion people of all caste and creed gather together from all parts and even foreigners also visit to pay regards to devta sahib and are blessed. Function is organized by Temple committee and there rituals are performed during four days and local drums and musical instruments are played for whole nights and days.
