Bezenchuksky District (Russian: Безенчу́кский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,988.8 square kilometers (767.9 sq mi).[6] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Bezenchuk.[2] Population: 42,095 (2010 Census);[7] 43,571(2002 Census);[10] 44,003(1989 Census).[11] The population of Bezenchuk accounts for 54.5% of the district's total population.[7]
