About

"The Sound Of East Yorkshire" 107.8 Beverley FM provides a mix of music, entertainment, news, and sport, all with a distinctly local Beverley feel, 24 hours a day from studios in the town.

The station also features a broad mix of music in the evenings through a range of specialist music shows, these include Rock and Roll, Country, Folk and Reggae.

Beverley FM was set up by a group of local businessmen and radio professionals led by Dave Fewster a Beverley-based radio presenter who worked at West Hull FM and Viking FM and founder of the local company Chem-dry in the 1980s.

Launch

The station carried out various test transmissions before launching at 9:00 a.m. on 20 January 2015. The first voice heard on-air was that of Dave Fewster who introduced himself and welcomed listeners to his new station, which now broadcasts 24/7 with a team of staff.
