Meryem Betül Kahraman (born January, 1995) is a Turkish women's ice hockey player. Currently, she plays for Ankara University SK as forward. She is a member of the Turkey women's national ice hockey team. Shooting right-handed, she is 1.64 m (5 ft 5 in) tall at 56 kg (123 lb).[1][2]
Sports career
Betül kahraman began with sports already at age four. She performed various sports in the past, such as gymnastics, swimming, synchronized skating, badminton and taekwondo. At age 17, she entered ice hockey when she was inspired while watching women's ice hockey trainings after her taekwondo training in the same sports facility in Kocaeli.[3]
In 2016, she obtained a license for coaching, and intends to teach kids ice hockey.[3]
Club
She is a member of the Ankara University SK.[1][4][5]
International
She took part at the 2015 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships Division II B Qualification in Hong Kong and 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II Group B tournament in Laca, Spain.[1]
