Benedikt Rúnar Guðmundsson is an Icelandic professional basketball coach. He is currently the head coach of KR women's team.^[1]

Benedikt has been named Coach of the Year of the men's Úrvalsdeild twice: in the 2006–07^[2] season and in the 2008–09 season,^[3] when he coached KR. In both the two seasons, KR also won the Icelandic championship.
