Belthara Road is a City with a railway station in the north-western corner of Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] Its eastern boundary is the intersection of Chaukiya Mod and Tinmuhani, and its western boundary is the rail station and kundail dhala marks its western limits. Between station road to chukiya mod and station road to bus stand the main market of Belthara is located. At Tinmuhani, kunadail dhala, madhuban dhala public transport is available to nearby villages along the Belthara-Nagara-mau road.

The city has a very beautiful bus depot, with service to Sikanderpur Rasra Mau Ballia Nagra Madhuban Maryadpur , Kanpur Delhi siwan Azamgarh Banaras Allahabad Gorakhpur Deoria Bhatni Bhagalpur. About 50,000 people travel from the Belthara Road bus station daily. Belthara Road is located at the border of Ballia-Mau, Ballia-Deoria, Ballia-Bihar.

The Bhageshwari temple, dedicated to the goddess of the same name, is between Ballia and Belthara Road and is the most-visited place of worship by local Hindus. A month-long annual fair, Sonadih Mela, is held here in conjunction with Navratri.[4] Another attraction is the Ghaghara.
