Baldwin of Lannoy
Baldwin van Lannoy (Hénin-Beaumont, 1388 - Huppaye, 1474), was a Flemish statesman, and ambassador for Philip the Good at the court of Henry V of England. He was the son of Guillebert I van Lannoy and Catherine of Molembais. He was a member of the noble de Lannoy family. His brothers were Guillebert de Lannoy and Hugo of Lannoy, also founding Knights of the Golden Fleece. When Baldwin became Knight in the Order of the Golden Fleece, he commissioned a portrait to be painted by Jan van Eyck.
