Battleship Cove is the future terminus of the MBTA Commuter Rail's Fall River branch of the South Coast Rail project. The station will be located in Fall River, Massachusetts, next to the namesake Battleship Cove. [1] The station will be built on the former Old Colony & Newport Railroad. The station will not offer any parking, and will primarily serve tourists, not everyday commuters.
A project document from 2008 states that the station could possibly be seasonal, but there is no indication if this is still the plan for the station once it is constructed. The line closed on June 30 1959 with the rest of the Old Colony Railroad division of the NYNH&HRR
