Muhammad Bashir, born 15 March 1994 in the Ramban town of Jammu and Kashmir, is an Urdu poet[1][2][3][4] known for his Urdu Ghazals.

Education and career

Mehtaab completed his school education from Govt Higher Secondary School Ramban in 2010. He started writing Urdu poems and columns at a very early age. His short Urdu poems and columns have been published in many local Urdu dailies.[5][6] He is the member of the 'Bazm-e-Adab Ramban[4][7]' which is a cultural and literary non-governmental organization based in Ramban.

Recently, Mehtaab created his own personal blog [8] and posts poems and columns on it. Mehtaab was also featured on the worldwide famous Urdu websites, Rekhta,[9] Aruuz,[1][2][3][10] Urdu Point[11] and OnlineUrdu.[12]

For his contribution to Urdu literature, Mehtaab was featured on Rekhta as one of the youngest Urdu poets. Some of the selected gazals of Mehtaab have been uploaded on the Rekhta website.[9]
