Barton Robert "Bart" Johnson (born December 13, 1970), is an American actor, best known for his role as Coach Jack Bolton in the High School Musical film series. He had a recurring role as Beau Berkhalter in The Client List on Lifetime.

Personal life

Johnson was born in Hollywood, California, the eldest of three sons. His brothers are Adam Johnson and Brad Johnson. They have four sisters. Their mother Charlene Johnson is a television hairstylist, and so Bart spent much of his early childhood on television sets. He graduated from Pennsbury High School. The brothers have worked on several projects together.

He is married to actress Robyn Lively, sister of actresses Blake Lively and Lori Lively and actors Eric Lively, Jason Lively. Bart and Robyn have three children: Kate, Baylen and son Wyatt Blake.

Bart is a surfing enthusiast and loves playing a variety of sports. In 1999 he received his pilot's license.

Career

Johnson is probably best known for his role in the High School Musical TV movies. He plays the coach of the East High School basketball team, which features the coach's son, star player Troy Bolton (played by Zac Efron). Johnson acts on the TV series The Client List for Lifetime as well as Gortimer Gibbon's Life On Normal Street for Amazon, alongside his wife Robyn Lively, who stars on the show. He stars in two Hallmark movies: The Christmas Spirit and Perfect on Paper.

Johnson helmed "The Run" as writer/director, an adventure comedy short film shot on location in Baja California.[1]

Johnson also filmed 6 Bucks and a Bottle of Water, a documentary with his brothers, hitchhiking from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. produced by Robert Moore.[2]

Johnson is owner of the Johnson Mill Bed & Breakfast in Midway, Utah, near Park City, Utah. It is a 12-room luxury bed-and-breakfast with a lake, 35-foot waterfall, acres of gardens, and fly fishing. According to a 2008 website article WorkHomeYou.com, Redbook determined it to be one of the four most romantic in the country.[3]
