Barrow Hill is a village in Derbyshire north-east of the town of Chesterfield. The population of the village is included in the civil parish of Staveley, Derbyshire. It was formerly the site of Barrow Hill railway station, and is also the site of Barrow Hill Engine Shed. It also has its own primary school, Barrow Hill Primary School and a new park which it won over New Whittington with more votes. It has a small shop/off-licence called Birdis General stores, a post office/small shop
