Barara is town in Haryana in Ambala district . 25km from Ambala cantt via Railway. 40 km via Bus. MM University around 3 km from Barara. Railway station and Bus stand available. SBI,ICICI,PNB,SBP, central bank of India, HDFC, available . This place is famous for World's largest Ravana statue Burning ceremony called DUSHERRA.

Local fame

Barara is famous for its Dushehra mela. The world's tallest Ravan is burnt at Barara every year on the day of Dushehra. In 2016, the height of the Ravan was 210 feet.Barara is also home for Nigerian Iraqis and many other country people who lives here.

Barara is also famous for its Water melon called as 'Barara di Khanda ' Khanda means sugar.
