Bangladeshi cricket team in West Bengal in 1983–84
In December 1983, the Bangladesh cricket team made a short tour to West Bengal. This followed the tour made by West Bengal, led by Dilip Doshi, earlier in the year. Bangladesh won their matches against the district oppositions, but lost the most significant match at Eden Gardens against West Bengal. [1]
The team
Raqibul Hasan was named captain of the Bangladesh team. The other members were Jahangir Shah Badshah, Rafiqul Alam, Gazi Ashraf Lipu, Ahemd Iqbal Bacchu, Nehal Hasnain, Dipu Chowdhury, Samiur Rahman Sami, Faisal Haider (WK), Assduzzaman Misha, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Golam Faruq Suru, Anwarul Amin Azhar, and Ramchand Goala.
