Balawa is a village development committee in Mahottari District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census. it had a population of 15332 people living in 4232 individual households.The birthplace of great Nepali scientist and writer Saqib Shamim is Balkawa.It the main palace for market and also it has a helth post and a ilaka police office for six village.[1]
