Bailey Peacock-Farrell (born 29 October 1996) is a footballer who plays for Leeds United as a goalkeeper. On 23 May 2017, Peacock-Farrell was called up to the Northern Ireland senior squad.[2]

Youth career

Peacock-Farrell joined the Middlesbrough youth academy before being released in 2013. He joined Leeds United as a scholar shortly after and signed his first professional contract with the Yorkshire side in the summer of 2015.

First Team

Peacock-Farrell joined the first team in the 2015–16 campaign on a mid-season trip to Wycombe Wanderers in a friendly match during the November international break, replaced goalkeeper Marco Silvestri in the 87th-minute in a 2–0 win. Following an injury to Ross Turnbull and the release of reserve goalkeeper Charlie Horton, who had returned to the United States for personal reasons, Peacock-Farrell was promoted to the first-team squad for a league game away to Queens Park Rangers.

He remained with the first team for the rest of the season as the 2nd choice Goalkeeper as manager Steve Evans opted to show faith in the young academy graduate rather than sign a more experienced back-up.

Following Silvestri's dismissal in an away game against Rotherham United in April 2016,[3] Peacock-Farrell was handed his first team debut in the return fixture against QPR on 6 April 2016 in a 1–1 draw, putting in an accomplished performance only for Leeds defender Giuseppe Bellusci to give away an injury time penalty which was converted by QPR player Tjaronn Chery.[4]

On 26 April 2016, with Peacock-Farrell highly rated by Leeds head coach Steve Evans, he was offered a two-year contract extension, with Evans feeling he was pushing regular goalkeeper Silvestri for the number 1 shirt.[5]

On 9 June, after much speculation on his future after being linked with Premier League sides, Peacock-Farrell signed a new two-year contract at Leeds.[6]

2016/17 season

On 5 August, Peacock-Farrell was given the squad number 30 shirt for the 2016–17 season.[7] On 13 October 2016, Peacock-Farrell was ruled out for Leeds, after having surgery after breaking a bone in his hand.[8]

After returning from injury, Peacock-Farrell reclaimed his place on the bench as Leeds 2nd choice keeper in the final few games of the 2016/17 season after an injury to current second choice goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.

2017/18

On 9 July 2017, Peacock-Farrell signed a new three-year contract, running through the 2019/20 season.[9] He joined Oldham Athletic on trial for the beginning of pre-season with the view to a season long loan move (for first team experience), including playing for Oldham in their 3-0 pre season victory against Salisbury, however Oldham decided not to take up the option.[10]

International career

On 23 May 2017, after being eligible due to heritage, Peacock-Farrell was called up to the Northern Ireland senior squad for a training camp.[11]
