Azkend

Azkend is an iOS match-3 game developed by 10tons Ltd and released on April 1, 2010. A sequel entitled Azkend 2: The World Beneath was released on March 14, 2012.

AppSpy gave Azkend an 80, writing " The original Azkend was beautifully simple and visually stunning and Azkend HD for the iPad has focused on these aspects while adding a bit more of a challenge for fans of the game. "^[1] No DPad gave it 50, commenting " Azkend HD looks beautiful from an artist's standpoint, but beneath the outside beauty is a not-so-beautiful inside. I found the gameplay to be a bit repetitive, and I would have liked the audio to be a bit more in sync and not all over the place. "^[2]

On Metacritic, Azkend 2: The World Beneath has a score of 73% based on 4 critic reviews,^[3] while the HD version of the game has a score of 84% based on 4.^[4]

Gamezebo wrote "Put simply, match-3 games don't reach higher quality than what you'll find in Azkend 2...Fans of "Bejeweled" and its ilk, and who own an iPhone or iPad, simply cannot miss Azkend 2. It sets the standard for its genre.
