Azath Salley

Azath Salley is a Sri Lankan politician.

He is former Deputy mayor of Colombo, and founder and leader of the Muslim Tamil National Alliance (MTNA).[1] The MTNA is an Islamic political party that advocates Tamil-Muslim political dialogue in the country.[2] Married to Fathima Renoza Children - Amina (daughter) Nafees (son)

In May 2013, Salley was arrested by the Sri Lankan Forces under the notorious Prevention of Terrorism Act(PTA) for criticizing Anti-Muslim racism propagated by the state.[2]
